Whilst we are all trying our hardest to hang on to our shorts and sunglasses and trying not to think of the nights drawing in earlier and the temperature dropping, we have to admit summer has almost left us for another year and this brings us on to our next two fantastic seasons: warm, hearty autumn and crisp, sharp winter.
So to help you through this transition the team over at Pantone have released their forecast of the colours that will be inspiring you for the next few months, from clothes and food, to decorating and hair colour - here are your colours for 2016's darker months:
Described as "A unity of strength, confidence and complexity, this selection of colours is a palette that is lead by the blue family".
Pantone's Executive Director Leatrice Eiseman goes on to say:
"Along with anchoring earth tones, exuberant pops of vibrant colors also appear throughout the collections. Transcending gender, these unexpectedly vivacious colors in our Fall 2016 palette act as playful but structured departures from your more typical fall shades. Blue skies represent constancy as they are always above us. Grays give a feeling of stability, Red tones invite confidence and warmth, while the hot Pinkish Purples and Spicy Mustard Yellows suggest a touch of the exotic".
What do you think of the selection? We think it's fantastic, but Pantone never fail to impress us with their selections!
