Limpet Labels UK Ltd - unaffected by recession in Wrexham Industrial Estate
'A small company from Wrexham with big plans for the future'
Limpet Labels UK Ltd, a label manufacturer based in Wrexham, is planning to invest in a new flexographic press at the beginning of 2009 to improve services to its customers. 'This year we have managed to sustain 6.5% sales growth. The new investment of £500,000 is necessary to keep up with modern technology development as well as to improve our lead-times, one of the most important aspects in the label game', as stated by Mr. Goode, the Managing Director. The first step of the new development will begin this summer with the extension of the existing plant.
Wrexham Industrial Estate has been in a slight recession over the past few years. Limpet Labels UK Ltd is a good example of a company that can succeed in an environment where energy and material costs are rising. The biggest thanks belong to the company's employees who are keen to retain high standards in such a difficult time.
The company has an impressively low staff turnover. In the past 16 years 95% of the team that have joined have stayed, with the exception of two staff member having maternity leave.
